Mufaddal Mithaiwala is an Associate in the Firm's Insurance & Reinsurance Services Group.

Mufaddal concentrates his practice in commercial litigation and insurance services, counseling a wide array of clients from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, in a variety of complex legal matters. Mufaddal also represents domestic and international insurers and reinsurers in a wide range of complex insurance coverage disputes arising from commercial general liability, commercial auto liability, professional liability, umbrella liability and excess liability policies. He has extensive experience in advising clients on claims handling issues and developing cost-effective strategies in coverage disputes, where he has achieved various successes.

Mufaddal has utilized his insurance experience to identify early opportunities for favorable settlements for his clients and has also litigated coverage disputes in jurisdictions across the nation. On behalf of his clients, Mufaddal prepares thorough coverage analyses, which formulates strategic plans, analyzes complex litigation and policy issues, and employs innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Mufaddal has also seen success in high-profile coverage disputes at arbitration and has been instrumental in trial preparation for various insurance coverage matters. Prior to joining Coughlin Midlige & Garland, Mufaddal obtained experience in the insurance industry from renowned law firms in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. He is licensed to practice law in the States of New Jersey and New York. Additionally, Mufaddal is an active member of the South Asian Bar Association.
