Luciana Pecorino Lalande focuses her practice on complex insurance coverage litigation and counseling. She is Of Counsel in the Firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance Services Group.

Luciana represents domestic and international insurers in a broad range of insurance coverage disputes arising under commercial general liability, professional liability, employment practices liability, and excess and umbrella liability insurance policies. She has extensive experience counseling clients on litigation strategy and contract interpretation as well as representing insurers on coverage and claims handling issues in both litigated and non-litigated matters, including coverage disputes involving environmental, toxic tort, construction defect, sexual abuse, property damage, products liability and professional liability. She also represents and advises liability and excess insurance carriers in connection with complex and high-exposure long-tail claims, including asbestos, health hazard and pollution claims.

While in law school, Luciana served as judicial intern for the Hon. Nicholas H. Politan, U.S.D.J., District Court of New Jersey, and the Hon. Daniel P. Mecca, J.S.C., New Jersey Superior Court, Bergen County. Prior to joining Coughlin Midlige & Garland, she was associated with well-established national and international law firms where she concentrated her practice in the areas of insurance coverage litigation.
